Doireann Fahey

Mount St. Mary's women soccer coach Liis Abbott has brought on Doireann Fahey, Graduate Assistant from the University of Maine, to join her at the Mount as assistant coach for the 2025 season.
 
Fahey served on the Black Bears staff last season as the team went 13-2-3 and 7-0-1 in the America East on the way to a conference championship and NCAA Tournament bid.  Before joining the staff, she played one season as a graduate student, logging 1,270 minutes over 17 games (16 starts) and adding two goals plus an assist.
 
Prior to Maine, Fahey played for Hartford, donning the uniform of the Hawks for three seasons. She competed on defense, logging 44 caps with 39 starts. She finished her time in Connecticut with 3,448 minutes registered, adding numbers on offense of three goals and two assists.
 
Hailing from Ireland, she had several stints for her home country's national youth teams, assisting in the U-19's qualification to the UEFA Championship Elite Roun, and the U-17 team to UEFA European Championship Finals.
 
Fahey graduated from Hartford with a degree in health science in 2024 and earned her Master's in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Maine in December 2024.
