Chuck Hommey joined coach Liis Abbott’s staff for the 2025 Mount St. Mary’s women’s soccer season as an assistant and goalkeeper coach.
Hommey, a former college keeper at West Virginia University in the early 90’s, has been with local based club, FC Frederick for over 30 years coaching, training keepers, directing several age groups for both girls and boys, and helping players with their recruiting journeys, in addition to handling club scheduling, facilities, events, programing, camps, fundraising, and more.
Being a long time club director and native of the Frederick county area, Hommey has worked with the club, community groups, high school programs, and other local colleges over the years. He’s coached several age group teams in the state, regional, & national championships, winning state and regionals titles along the way. Hommey spent a season in 2015 as the men’s goalkeeper coach at Shenandoah University, along with coaching FC Frederick's Pro23 women’s team and the men’s NPSL team, working with numerous college players over the years.
The Frederick County Soccer Hall of Fame inductee graduated from West Virginia University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
