Mount St. Mary's Women's Tennis Finishes Up Mount Invitational On Sunday

Emmitsburg, Md. (September 24, 2017) – Mount St. Mary's women's tennis finished up the Mount Invitational Sunday morning. Alexa Quintanilla and Emma Blake each won third place in flight A and flight D in singles play to highlight the tournament.

Quintanilla edged Ivana Boberic from Siena 6-2, 6-7(5), 10-7 in flight A and Blake topped Jenna Granato from Loyola 4-6, 6-3, 11-9 in flight D. 

In the consolation side, Megan Smith and Sam Barbato recorded fourth place after losing in the third place/fourth place game. Smith was topped 6-2, 6-2 by Nanea Perkins from Siena in flight C, and Barbato lost 6-2, 6-1 to Siena's Annie Phillips in flight E.

Three Mountaineers won seventh place in their flights. Hannah Davis won by a default win against George Mason's Hannah Yang in flight A. Sruthi Kamprath defeated George Mason's Rachel Lee 7-5, 6-4 in flight B. Megan Gamble topped Alex Agee from Loyola 5-1(Ret.) in flight C. 

The Mount women will play in the Loyola Women's Invitational next weekend, September 29 - October 1.
