Women’s Swimming & Diving Topped by Loyola

Baltimore, Md. (February 3, 2018) – The Mount St. Mary's women's swimming & diving team was topped by Loyola, 139-93, on Saturday at Mangione Pool in the Mount's regular season finale.


The Mountaineers won five events on the day, led by Maggie deTar, who posted the top time and took first place in the 200 IM, touching the wall in 2:15.52. Juliette Lacoste won the 100 fly in 1:04.00, Bridget Vaughan took the top spot in the 500 free (5:26.07), and Peyton Fuller won the 1-meter dive with a score of 184.05 for the Mount's other victories in individual events on the day.

Mount St. Mary's closed out the meet with the top spot in the 200 free relay as the squad of Maddie McGraw, deTar, Colette Robinson and Mary Lombardi posted a time of 1:43.07.

Mount St. Mary's travels to the Northeast Conference Championships at the Nassau County Aquatics Center in East Meadow, N.Y. for competition spanning February 21-24.
