McGraw and Felos Highlight Day Two of Franklin & Marshall Invitational

Lancaster, Md. (November 18, 2017) – Maddie McGraw and Alyssa Felos set new Mount St. Mary's University program records to pace the Mountaineers on day two of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Saturday.


Maddie McGraw won the 100 back with a time of 57.16, breaking her own program record in the process. McGraw's previous record was a 57.76 at last year's Northeast Conference Championships.

Felos also joined the Mount's record books with a new school record in the 200 breast. The junior clocked in at 2:26.67 in the prelims, which broke Haley Fournier's old record of 2:27.63. Felos then topped her preliminary heat with a time of 2:26.47 in the finals as she finished in third place.

The Mountaineers posted two other top-10 finishes on the night. Juliet Whitman placed seventh in the 100 fly in 59.80, and Lauren Gullickson earned a 10th-place showing in the 200 breast with a time of 2:30.00.

In the 200 free, Maggie deTar claimed the Mount's top finish, clocking in at 1:57.20 to finish 12th. Juliette Lacoste also registered a 12th-place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:49.45.

McGraw, Gullickson, Whitman and deTar placed sixth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.67, and Whitman, Bridget Vaughan, deTar and Mary Lombardi finished sixth in 800 free relay in 7:56.39.

Mount St. Mary's remains in fourth place with 260 team points. Delaware (376 pts) sits in first, Washington & Lee is in second (330) and York is in third (265).

The Mount closes out the F&M Invitational with day three tomorrow (Nov. 19). Prelims begin at 10 a.m. and finals heats are set for 5 p.m.
