MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount fell to 0-3 on the year with a 2-0 loss at Towson on Thursday night.  Charlotte Elrod made six saves in the game for the Mount while Elisabeth Rockhill had a couple of nice scoring opportunities, including a shot off the post.  Elrod has a 1.64 GAA amd a .783 save percentage this year.  Hannah Cooksey leads the offense with six shots.

ABOUT UMBC:  UMBC lost to Temple, 3-1, on Thursday night to fall to 0-1-2 on the season.  The Retrievers opened the year with a scoreless tie at NJIT and a 2-2 draw against Saint Francis U.  Danielle Fuentes, Christina Corbi and Laura Ventura each have one goal for UMBC this season.  Alyssa Minnick (1.07 GAA) and Jade Wilkins (2.00 GAA) have split time in goal for UMBC.

ALL-TIME SERIES:  UMBC holds a 14-3-0 lead in the all-time series with the Mountaineers.  The Retrievers posted a 4-3 win over the Mount last season.  Kayla Hughes scored twice while Yasmine Whitelock added her first collegiate goal for the Mount in the game.  For a full recap, click HERE.  UMBC has won the past two meetings in the series after the Mount had run off wins in three of the previous four matchups.  The Mount's last win over UMBC was a 3-0 victory on September 13, 2015, in Emmitsburg.

PRESEASON POLL:  Mount St. Mary's was selected to finish fifth in the annual Northeast Conference Preseeason Coaches Poll.  Defending champion Central Connecticut has been tabbed as the preseason favorite, followed by Saint Francis U, Fairleigh Dickinson, Bryant, the Mount, Sacred Heart, Robert Morris, Long Island, Wagner, St. Francis Brooklyn and Merrimack.
