MOUNT UPDATE:  Mount St. Mary's opened the season with losses to SWAC preseason favorite Howard (1-0 in overtime) and Big South preseason favorite Radford (2-0).  Goalkeeper Charlotte Elrod started both games, compiling a 1.47 goals against average, 12 saves and a .800 save percentage.  Freshman Hannah Cooksey leads the Mount offense with five shots while Jasmine McCree has three.

ABOUT TOWSON:  Towson opened the 2019 season with home losses to Old Dominion (4-1) and Marist (3-0).  Jenna Blank scored the goal for Towson in the loss to Old Dominion with Phoebe Canoles picking up the assist.  Hannah Warner has started both games and has a 3.33 goals against average, six saves and a .545 save percentage in 135 minutes of action.

ALL-TIME SERIES:  Towson holds a 16-3-0 advantage in the all-time series that began in 1992.  The two teams last met in 2015 when Towson posted a 4-0 victory.  The Mount's last win over Towson was a 4-1 win in the home opener on August 24, 2012.  The Mountaineers have not won on the road against Towson since a 1-0 victory on October 24, 1995.  The Mount is 1-9-0 all-time on the road in the series.

PRESEASON POLL:  Mount St. Mary's was selected to finish fifth in the annual Northeast Conference Preseeason Coaches Poll.  Defending champion Central Connecticut has been tabbed as the preseason favorite, followed by Saint Francis U, Fairleigh Dickinson, Bryant, the Mount, Sacred Heart, Robert Morris, Long Island, Wagner, St. Francis Brooklyn and Merrimack. 

NEWCOMERS:  Head coach Tori Krause brought in 10 newcomers for the 2019 season.  Forward Elisabeth Rockhill is a junior transfer from Coastal Carolina while junior defender Maggie Prokop comes to the team from Montgomery C.C.  Eight freshmen joined the roster as well, including defenders Madi Stanchina and Alex Piccinich, midfielders Kallie Bell, Alex Hanna, Brenda Aleman and Mikayla Bates, along with forwards Lindsay Reightler and Hannah Cooksey.
