Annapolis, Md. (April 20, 2019) - The Mount St. Mary's women's rugby team finished the 2018-2019 season with a second place finish at the Navy Legacy 7's Tournament on Saturday afternoon. This is the fourth time in the spring 7's season that the Mount has brought home second place in a tournament.

The Mountaineers recorded first place in their pool and a first round bye after they won all four pool play matches. In the Semifinals, Mount St. Mary's earned a hard fought 19-14 match win against Boston University in a match that was tied after regulation and came down to sudden death. After they earned a spot in the Championship match, the Mountaineers were clipped 14-5 by Navy (Team A) and walked away with second place in the tournament.

Graduate student Julie Crochet led the Mount offense with nine tries scored on the day and combined for 47 points scored.
