Mount St. Mary's University

Former All-Colonial Athletic Association selectionAlexandra Burns joined the Mount St. Mary’scoaching staff as a volunteer assistant prior to the 2014season.

Burns came to the Mount after a four-year playing career at OldDominion University where she helped anchor the Monarchs' defenseunder Head Coach Heather Holt. Burns started all 16 games duringher senior campaign in 2013, while leading ODU and finishing secondin the Colonial Athletic Association with 23 caused turnovers. Sheearned Second Team All-CAA recognition for her performance as asenior, tallying 34 ground balls and 11 draw controls.

During her junior season, Burns compiled 21 ground balls, 14draw controls and caused nine turnovers in 17 starts on defense.Her career numbers include 68 ground balls, 39 caused turnovers and25 draw controls.

Burns graduated with a degree in Sport Management from OldDominion University in 2013.
