The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's golf teams return to action for the first time of the spring semester at the Lonnie Barton Invitational spanning March 4-5.
In the most recent action for the men's team, they finished in 17th place at the Firestone Invitational with a total score of 935, registering rounds of 308, 319, and 309.
Freshman Michael Robinson led the way for the Mountaineers with a three-round total of 232, posting a 77 in his opening round with a 78 and 77 to wrap up the tournament. Sophomore Nacho Gomez was right behind Robinson, posting a total score of 233 with an opening round score of 73 followed by scores of 83 and 77 to round out the tournament.
Nick McCann posted a total score of 237 for the three rounds, scoring a 79, 81, and 77. Freshman Jack Snyder rounded out the scoring for the Mount by posting scores of 89, 77, and 82 to finish with a total of 248.
On the women's side, the Mountaineers return to action for the first time since the Boston College Invitational.
Sophomore Olivia Gardenhour led the squad with a total score of 244, which was her best finish of the year. She posted rounds of 82, 83, and 79. Freshman Michaila Cheung finished with a total score of 261, after posting rounds of 86, 90, and 85.
