Daytona, Fla. (April 26, 2013) -- After the first 18 holes of the Northeast Conference Women's Golf Championships, the Mount checked in at 10th with a first-round 341 led by Amanda Reach's team-best 78 (+6) on Friday at the LPGA International Legends Course.
Reach, who shot the Mount's only birdie of the day on the par-4 17th, is sitting in a four-way tie for 10th place in the field of 55 individuals.
The Mount's second-best scorecard of the day was turned in by Kelsey Hayward with an 87 (+15) for a tie for 35th.
Fairleigh Dickinson's Mariana Juaristi shot the lone under-par round of 71 (-1) to lead the field. Krissy Unger of Quinnipiac is two shots off the lead at 73 (+1) and Central Connecticut State is third following her first-round 74 (+2).
In the team competition, defending champion LIU Brooklyn put together a team score of 304 to take the lead. The Blackbirds are followed by FDU in second with 312 strokes and CCSU in third at 315.
The second round will get underway tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
