BLAIRSVILLE, Pa. - Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) finished sixth to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Red Flash Spring Invitational on Sunday.
Hall carded an 84 in the first round and then improved by four strokes in the final round to register an 80 on Sunday and a 164 in the two days to place sixth, 12 strokes behind the medalist.
Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (11th place, 168), Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) (11th place, 168), Autumn Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) (16th place, 173) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (21st place, 181) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.
Youngstown State won the two-day event with a score of 641, 18 strokes ahead of Robert Morris (659) while Saint Francis (Pa.) (664), the Mount (673) and Niagara (765) rounded out the field.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action at the Northeast Conference Women's Golf Championships on Apr. 21. The three-day event will be held at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
