CITRUS SPRING, Fla. - Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) finished 31st to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a seventh-place standing at the El Diablo Intercollegiate on Saturday.
Corbett registered an 80 in the first round and an 87 in the second round and an 82 in the final round to card a 249 to place 31st, 30 strokes behind the medalist.
Autumn Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) (36th place, 256), Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) (39th place, 261), Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (40th place, 262) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gywnedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (43rd place, 278) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.
Eastern Kentucky and Florida Atlantic each finished with a three-round score of 931, but Eastern Kentucky took the team championship after winning the playoff. St. John's (935), Western Kentucky (955) and Austin Peay State (961) rounded out the Top-5 teams in the field. Mount St. Mary's shot a 336, 347 and 345 in the three round to place seventh with a total of 1028.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action for the final round at the C&F Bank Women's Invitational on Mar. 19.
