The Mountaineers will travel to Philadelphia to face the Hawks on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 p.m. to begin the 2013-14 season.

A win for the Mount, which is playing in its second Preseason WNIT in school history, would secure a game against the winner of LSU and Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 10 or 11.

The Preseason WNIT, which began in 1994, guarantees each team in the field will play at least three games. Teams were selected based off expected success for the season, relevant past, conference standings, fan base, geographic location and other criteria.

Second-round games will be played Nov. 10 and 11 and sites will be announced following the first-round results; semifinals will be Nov. 14; and the championship is set for Sunday, Nov. 17. Teams that lose in the first two rounds will play consolation games on the second weekend, Nov. 15-16. The Championship game will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network.

Along with the Mount, the field includes Georgia State, Gonzaga, Idaho, IPFW, Louisville, Loyola Chicago, LSU, North Carolina A&T, Oklahoma, Quinnipiac, Saint Joseph's, Stephen F. Austin, Stetson, Tennessee-Martin and Wichita State.

Of the teams in the event, 10 qualified for last season's NCAA Tournament. Seven of the teams made it to the round of 64, while LSU and Oklahoma made runs to the Sweet 16 and Louisville finished as the national runner-up.

The Mount is 2-2 all-time against Saint Joseph's, including a 1-2 mark in games in Philadelphia. The series dates back to the first meeting on Jan. 31, 1976. After losing the first two matchups, the Mount secured victories against the Hawks in 1980 and 1981.
