Jordan Weaver tossed a three-hitter while Marian Ruf drove in all three runs to lead Mount St. Mary's to a 3-1 win over Colgate at the Stetson Mad Hatter Invitational on Saturday morning.

Holly Geranen gave the Red Raiders (0-6) a 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the top of the first inning.  After Colgate pitcher Jessica Hay tossed three perfect innings to start the game, the Mount evened the score in the bottom of the fourth.  Kaylee Stoner was hit by a pitch, and Linsday Heinze walked to put runners on first and second.  Ruf came through with a single through the left side to tie the score.

The Mount (1-4) took the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth.  Stoner reached on an error and moved to second on a Morgan Alisauckas walk.  Heinze then singled, but Stoner was thrown out at plate, keeping the game tied at 1-1.  A passed ball allowed pinch runners Lexi Donovan and Erin Meagher to move up on base, and Ruf followed with a single up the middle to plate both runners.

Weaver settled down after the first inning, retiring 14 in a row at one point, and not allowing a hit until a two-out single in the top of the seventh by Baillee Jorth.  Weaver was able to retire Jordan Miller with a fly out to right to end the game.

Ruf finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI while Weaver tossed a three-hitter for the win.
