ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team edged St. Francis Brooklyn 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon. The Terriers took two out of three doubles flights to secure the early one point advantage from double competition. Javier Navarro/Pablo Torres defeated Jean Armstrong/Gabriel Santos 6-4 in the second flight and Daniel Blasco/Guillermo Artiz topped Parth Sharma/Evan Hine 6-3 in the third flight. In the first flight, Brandon Wortkotter/Jackson Wood surpassed Francisco Adolfo/Alejandro Ridruejo 6-3 in the first flight for the Mount's only doubles win.

In singles competition, the Mountaineers and St. Francis Brooklyn split six flights at three wins apiece. Wood topped Navarro 6-2, 6-4 in the second flight of singles action. Sharma won his 17th singles flight victory of the season by defeating Adolfo 6-3, 6-2 in the third flight. For Mount St. Mary's last flight victory, Santos blanked Stefan Gmijovic 6-2, 6-0 in the number five flight. With the win, the Mount moves to 5-9 on the season with a Northeast Conference (NEC) record of 2-1 and St. Francis Brooklyn falls to 3-11 with a 3-4 mark in NEC play.

The match between Mount St. Mary's and Wagner was cancelled due to rain.
