Men's Tennis Topped By James Madison On Sunday, 6-1

Harrisonburg, Va. (March 18, 2018) - The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team was toppled 6-1 by James Madison University on Sunday afternoon. Freshman, Parth Sharma recorded his, team leading, 15th singles victory of the year for the Mount's lone point on the match.

James Madison took all three doubles flights to record the point from doubles action. Brandon Wortkotter and Jackson Wood were edged 7-5 in the number one flight and Sharma and Evan Hine were topped 6-2 in the third flight to finish out doubles competition.

In singles action, JMU won the first and second flights before Sharma defeated Pierre Kohler 6-7, 6-4, and 10-8 in the third flight. James Madison picked up the next three flights to close out the match. Mount St. Mary's drops to 3-9 on the season and James Madison jumps to 12-3. 

The Mount returns home Wednesday, March 21 for a dual-match against Bucknell at 3:00 p.m.
