SETTING THE SCENE
The Mount St. Mary's men's swimming & diving team heads to Lynchburg, Virginia for the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships spanning February 20-23 at the Liberty University Natatorium. The Mountaineers were welcomed into the CCSA in November of 2017, becoming the conference's seventh member for men's swimming & diving. All four days will be streamed live on the Big South Network.

LAST YEAR'S CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Mountaineers finished in 11th place at last year's CCSA Championships with 174 team points. University of Incarnate Word won the title with 849 points, while Old Dominion (705 pts) and Gardner-Webb (646.5) rounded out the top-three.
Mount swimmers collected eight top-15 finishes in individual events throughout the championships, led by three from Will Twizell. The Adelaide, Australia native placed fifth in the 100 breast (56.26), seventh in the 200 breast (2:04.64) and eighth in the 200 IM (1:51.37). Aidan McCormick and John Wilson each earned a pair of top-15 showings at the meet. McCormick took 11th in the 100 breast (57.27) and 14th in the 200 IM (1:58.07), and Wilson placed 13th in the 200 IM (1:56.44) and 15th in the 200 breast (2:08.30). Nicholas Starvaggi rounded out the team's top finishes of the championships, earning a 13th-place showing in the 1650 free (16:43.14).
