Men’s Swimming & Diving Falls at Loyola

Baltimore, Md. (February 3, 2018) – The Mount St. Mary's men's swimming & diving team fell to Loyola by a 135-95 margin on Saturday at Mangione Pool in the Mount's final tune-up before postseason championships.


The Mount won a pair of individual freestyle events on the day as Roland Edge took the top spot in the 500 free in 6:06.16, and Nicholas Starvaggi won the 1000 free with a time of 10:09.78.

For the Mount's other three individual wins at the meet, Thomas de Xavier registered the top spot in the 100 fly in 53.87, John Mata won the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.52, and Eiann Bulatao posted the win in the 3-meter dive with a score of 145.05.

The Mount closed out the meet with a victory in the 200 free relay as Brock Cudahy, Will Twizell, John Wilson and Ryan Carroll combined for a time of 1:28.99

The Mountaineers head to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships spanning February 14-17 at the Gabrielson Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
