The Mount St. Mary's University men's and women's swimming & diving teams return to competition with a dual meet at La Salle on Saturday, January 27 at 1 p.m. at Kirk Pool.
- The men's team improved to 3-4 in dual meets on the year with a convincing 140.5-71.5 victory over Northeast Conference foe St. Francis Brooklyn last time out on Senior Day. Aidan McCormick and Brock Cudahy paced the Mount with two individual victories apiece. McCormick won the 200 IM (2:14.98) as the Mount earned the top-three spots in the event, and the senior also earned a first-place showing in the 100 breast (1:07.46). Cudahy took first place in both the 100 free (53.88) and 200 free (2:00.11).
- On the women's side, the Mountaineers edged St. Francis Brooklyn by a 113-107 margin to improve to 6-0 in dual meets, which is their best record to start a season in program history. Maddie McGraw highlighted the night by breaking the program record in the 100m back, clocking in at 1:06.75 in the event. The time broke McGraw's own record of 1:06.77, which she set back in 2015. McGraw also won two other events on the day for a total of three individual victories at the meet. The junior notched first-place showings in the 50 free (28.60) and 100 back (1:06.75) in addition to her record-breaking performance in the 100 back. Maggie deTar was the other Mountaineer with multiple wins on the afternoon, as the sophomore took first place in both the 100 (1:02.06) and 200 (2:14.01) frees to help lead the team to victory.
- The Mountaineers close out the regular season with a meet at Loyola on February 3 at 1 p.m.
