Men’s Swimming & Diving Falls at Howard

Washington, D.C. (November 3, 2017) – The Mount St. Mary's University men's swimming & diving team was topped by Howard, 123-91, on Friday night at the Burr Pool.


The Mountaineers won four events at the meet, including a pair of victories from Will Twizell. The sophomore claimed first place in the 200 IM with a time of 1:59.04, and also raced to a first-place finish in the 100 back in 54.46.

Rookie Nicholas Starvaggi placed first in the 1000 free with a time of 10:27.14, and junior Eiann Bulatao won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 163.75 for the Mount's other pair of victories at the meet.

In the final event of the night, Brock Cudahy, Ryan Carroll, Twizell and John Wilson combined for a time of 3:18.59 in the 400 free relay to register a second-place showing.   

Mount St. Mary's (2-4) returns to action at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational spanning November 17-19 in Lancaster, Pa.
