MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount Men's soccer team suffered their first defeat of the 2019 season on Friday night against Navy. After a scoreless first half between the two squads, Navy broke through in the 60th minute for the lone goal of the game. Navy's Toni Adewole sent a long throw into the box that a Mount defender was unable to clear away. Matt Nocita buried the shot to give the Mids the lead. Navy held on to secure the 1-0 win. The Mountaineers are led by Yann Kouemi and Boris Nana Tonzi who are tied for the team lead with two goals while Miguel Lucero has a team-high three assists. Andrew Chwalik has started all four games in goal, posting a 1.67 goals against average.  

SCOUTING ARMY: The Black Knights have begun the 2019 season with a 1-1-1 record. They are coming off a 1-1 tie against Columbia last Friday night. Their lone victory of the season came off a 2-1 overtime win against Siena. They were knocked off by #19 ranked Air Force 2-1 to begin their 2019 campaign. Senior Keenan O'Shea leads the Black Knights with two goals and four points on the season. Senior goalkeeper Justin Stoll has been strong in three games with a 1.20 goals against average.

ALL-TIME SERIES: Saturday's contest marks the second-ever matchup between the Mount and Army. The first came last year when the Black Knights defeated the Mountaineers 2-0 at Waldron Family Stadium. Eric Whiteman and Keenan O'Shea were able to find the back of the net for Army while Justin Stoll came up big with three saves in cage.  

UPCOMING SCHEDULE: The Mountaineers will continue their road trip at James Madison on September 21 before opening Northeast Conference play at Robert Morris on Friday, September 27.
