The Mountaineers picked up their first conference win this past Friday, downing Central Connecticut on the road by a 2-1 margin. Boris Nana Tonzi registered his third goal in as many games to stake the Mount out to a 1-0 lead, but CCSU was able to get even early in the second half. Just over 11 minutes after the Blue Devils tied things up, Andrew Lasso gave the Mount a lead once again on his first collegiate goal. Lasso picked up a loose ball just outside the box, took a touch and curled a shot from a tough angle 20 yards out just over Carson D'Ambrosio into the upper 90 for the tremendous goal, which proved to be the game winner.

On Sunday, Yann Kouemi put the Mount on top just 24 seconds into the contest with his first career goal off an assist by Lasso. The Mountaineers were under four minutes away from registering their second straight victory before LIU Brooklyn was finally able to break through and tie the game at 1-1 on Zach Peterson's tally. The Blackbirds eventually won in overtime as Huib Achterkamp connected on a header to send LIU off with a 2-1 victory. Mount goalie Bobby Edwards made a season-high 10 saves in the contest.
