Mount St. Mary's senior Andrew Scalley has been named the Northeast Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week. It is the fifth time this season that Scalley has earned the weekly honor.
Scalley factored in on six of the Mount's 10 goals in a 10-9 win over first place Bryant on Saturday. The senior, who was playing in the midfield, recorded two goals and four assists to push his league-leading point total to 63. Scalley scored a pair of goals in the second quarter, and dished out assists on both Mount tallies in the fourth quarter.
Scalley, who has won NEC Player of the Week honors eight times in his career, has 63 points on 28 goals and 35 assists this season. His six-point game against Bryant moved Scalley into second place on the Mount's all-time points list with 217. His 127 career goals are fifth all-time at the Mount while his 90 career assists are tied for fourth.
The Mount closes out the 2013 season at Wagner on Saturday.
