  • No. 9 Kentucky outlasted Mount St. Mary's, 82-62, on Friday night.  The Mount hung around in the first half, taking the lead 18-17 when Chidozie Collin Nnamene buried a trey at the 10:13 mark.  Brandon Leftwich followed that with a jumper to make it 20-19 with 7:35 remaining. A pair of free throws extended the lead to three, the Mount's largest of the night. However, a 6-0 Kentucky run late in the half gave the Wildcats a 39-34 edge at the break.   The Wildcats roared out of the game in the second half, shooting 12-of-13 to open the frame, to secure the win.  Damain Chong Qui led four Mount players in double figures with 11 points.
  • Mount St. Mary's has played the 12th-most difficult schedule in the nation this season according to the latest KenPom Rankings.  Northern Arizona has the toughest schedule this season with Alabama State, Jacksonville St., Green Bay and Montana rounding out the top five.   Four of the Mount's six games this season have been played against teams ranked in the top 150 by KenPom.  The Mount also has played a pair of games against ranked opponents in No. 20 Washington and No. 9 Kentucky.
  • Mount St. Mary's is 1-1 all-time against Western Athletic Conference opponents.  The Mount has not played a WAC opponent since a 91-72 loss at San Jose State on Dec. 22, 2001.  The Mount's win over a WAC team was a 58-55 victory over Rice on Dec. 6, 1997.
