Mount St. Mary's University baseball split a doubleheader with Maryland Eastern Shore on Tuesday at E.T. Straw Family Stadium. The Mount won opening game by an 8-5 final behind 5.0 no-hit innings from starter Andrew Dameron, before dropping game two, 9-5, in extra innings, despite a game-tying two-run homer from Patrick Causa in the seventh.

Sophomore Andrew Dameron pitched a gem for the Mountaineers in game one, tossing 5.0 innings of no-hit ball while striking out four to pick up his first collegiate victory. Kriss led the offense with a 3-for-4 game, two runs scored and an RBI, while Causa also registered a multi-hit game with a 2-for-4 performance.

In the second game, the Mount was led by Kriss (3-for-5), Causa (3-for-4) and Parker II (2-for-4) who all posted multi-hit games, with Causa and Parker II picking up two RBIs each.

Junior Brock Hallum hit a walkoff single that bounced over the wall in the final frame to complete an amazing comeback to beat NEC foe Bryant, 7-6, in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday at LIU Field. The LIU Brooklyn Baseball team was down 6-1 after five and a half innings before tying the game in the sixth inning (of a scheduled seven-inning game), leading to Hallum's heroics in the next inning. The LIU Brooklyn Baseball team (15-13, 6-4 NEC) lost their first Northeast Conference series of the weekend, losing three-of-four to Bryant, following a 20-2 loss at LIU Field in the final game of a four-game series on Saturday.

Mount St. Mary's and LIU Brooklyn have met 92 times in series history with the Blackbirds holding a 60-32 advantage, including a 25-17 mark in Emmitsburg. The two teams played each other six times last season (2017) with both teams winning three games. The Mount won the three game series in Emmitsburg by taking to out of three and The Blackbirds did the same with the three game series in Brooklyn.

The Mountaineers travel to Penn State for a mid-week game on Tuesday, April 17 at 6:30 PM before returning home for a four game series against Fairleigh Dickinson April 20-22.
