The Mountaineers are coming off of a tough series at home against Central Connecticut where they dropped three games. Vaughn Parker II and Dalton Clouser recorded multi-hit games but a seven run inning helped Central Connecticut push past Mount St. Mary's 11-3 on Saturday afternoon. Jared Urban, Zach Hostetter, and Clouser each had one RBI for the Mount's offense.

The Hoyas dropped three to Creighton over the weekend. Creighton University scored six runs in the top of the ninth to come back and defeat the Georgetown University baseball team, 11-9, on Saturday afternoon at Shirley Povich Field. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 20-15 overall and 0-3 in BIG EAST play, while the Bluejays improve to 14-16 and 5-1 in conference action.
Georgetown holds a 18-10 lead in the series since the Mount moved to NCAA Division I in 1989. The Hoyas have won the past meeting between the teams and are 5-3 all-time in Emmitsburg. The last time these two teams played was 2012 when each team won a game at their home field.
The Mount travel to Coppin State on Wednesday, April 19 for a game at 3 pm.
