The Mount's home opener against George Mason Tuesday was postponed due to the winter storm. The Mountaineers were last in action this past weekend at Central Connecticut State where they were swept in a three game series. Jared Urban recorded a multi-hit game going 2-for-4 while Seth Schubert pitched 6.1 innings giving up only one earned run but Mount St. Mary's fell 4-0 in series finale on Sunday afternoon.

LIU was scheduled to face Iona Tuesday, but the game was cancelled due to weather. The last time they played, they dropped two games to Stony Brook University March 16, falling in the first game, 15-11, and dropping the second on a walk-off single, 1-0. With the losses, LIU moves to 4-6 on the season.

Mount St. Mary's and LIU Brooklyn have met 86 times in series history with the Blackbirds holding a 57-29 advantage, including a 24-15 mark in Emmitsburg. The two teams split the season series in 2016 at two games apiece.

The Mount will host a double header against the Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday, March 29 at 1 pm and 3:30 pm.
