Washington, D.C. (April 19, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's fell early to Georgetown and were unable to fight their way back. The Mountaineers fell in game two to Georgetown 19-2 to split the season series at 1-1.
Georgeotown went up 6-0 by the third inning and never looked back. With control of the game, and at their home diamond, it was difficult for the Mount to find the tenacity to fight back. The Mount scored one in the fifth and in the ninth innings.
JT Landwehr was able to cross the plate to add one to his season tally, while
David Stirpe reached double-digit homers on the year with his tenth tonight.
