Mount St. Mary's begins the stretch run of the 2011-12 season at home against Fairleigh Dickinson in a Northeast Conference television game.  The Mount enters the final two weeks of the season three games out of a playoff spot with four games to play.

The Mount dropped both games of its NEC Rivalry Week series against Wagner last week to fall to 4-10 in league play.  On Saturday, the Mount fell to the second-place Seahawks, 74-57, in Staten Island, N.Y.  Raven Barber scored a season-high 16 points to pace the Mount in the loss.

Julian Norfleet leads the Mountaineers in scoring this season at 13.1 points per game while Barber and Kelvin Parker are averaging 8.7 points each.  Danny Thompson chips in 8.0 points and a team-best 7.1 rebounds per game.

The Mount is currently tied with Saint Francis (Pa.) for ninth place in the NEC standings with the top eight making the NEC Tournament.  Sacred Heart, Central Connecticut State and Monmouth are all tied for sixth with a 7-7 league record, leaving the Mount three games back with four to play.

Fairleigh Dickinson has lost five games in a row to fall to 2-23 overall and 1-13 in the NEC.  The Knights lost both of their Rivalry Week games to Monmouth, including an 82-68 loss on Saturday on the road.  Melquan Bolding led FDU with 24 points while George Goode added 16 points in the loss.  Bolding is the team's leading scorer at 14.1 points per game while Goode is averaging 13.0 points and a team-best 7.5 rebounds.

In the first meeting this year, Mount St. Mary's used a 21-to-3 first half run to take control of the game en route to a 66-45 win at Fairleigh Dickinson.  Danny Thompson and Julian Norfleet each scored 14 points in the victory.  Josh Castellanos (11 points, three assists) and Kelvin Parker (10 points, five rebounds) also reached double figures in the win.

The Mount closes out the home portion of the schedule on Saturday night against Monmouth at 7 p.m. before heading to Central Connecticut State (Feb. 23) and Bryant (Feb. 25) to end the regular season.
