Cross Country Heads to Bryant

The Mount men's and women's cross country teams are back in action at the Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race hosted by Bryant University on Saturday morning. 

TIME: Men's Race at 10:00 a.m.; Women's Race at 10:45 a.m.
THE COURSE:  The men will be running an 8-kilometer course while the women will be running a 5-kilometer race.
PLACE: Smithfield, R.I. (on campus)

RESULTS: Results will be available following the race at www.bryantbulldogs.com and www.mountathletics.com.

LAST TIME OUT:  The Mount women's team finished in fifth place while the men were 10^th at the season-opening meet at Lehigh.  Megan Kinsella was the Mount's top runner on the women's side while freshman Chris Jewell was the Mount's top finisher for the men.

CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW:  This week's race will serve as a preview of the course that will host the 2012 Northeast Conference Championships.

PRESEASON POLLS:  The Mount men's cross country team was picked fourth and the women eighth in the annual Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

UP NEXT: The Mount returns to action on September 21^st at the Towson Invitational.
