Cross Country Heads To Princeton Invitatational On Saturday

Men's Race:  10:30 a.m.
Women's Race:  11:15 a.m.

Mount Update...The Mount will be competing for the first time since Oct. 1 at the Paul Short Run.  Junior Dylan Bernard paced the Mountaineer men by finishing 46th overall in the field of 357 runners in the Brown Race.  Megan Kinsella paced the women, finishing 169th in the field of 336 runners, completing the six-kilometer course with a time of 22:47.

Women's Race:  Columbia, George Mason, Haverford, Iona, UMBC, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary's, NJIT, NYIT, South Carolina, St. Joseph's and Xavier

Rookie of the Week...Freshman Matt Pacheco finished in 20th place at the CCSU Invitational to earn Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honors.  Pacheco was the top rookie finisher among the six NEC teams at the race.

Joson Earns Weekly Honor...Freshman Stephanie Joson was named the NEC Rookie of the Week the first week of the season after an 11th-place finish at the Mount St. Mary's 5K Duals. 

Preseason Polls...The Mount women's team was picked to finish fifth while the men's squad was picked for seventh in the annual Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches poll.

Up Next... After the Princeton Relays, the Mount will head to New Britain, Conn., for the Northeast Conference Championships on Oct. 30.
