Matt Logie Named Northeast Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year for Cross Country
Mount St. Mary's sophomore Matt Logie (Germantown, Md./Northwest) has been named the 2006 Northeast Conference Men's Cross Country Scholar Athlete of the Year. Logie carries a 3.56 grade-point average majoring in History.
In October, Logie finished fourth at the NEC Cross Country Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park, finishing with a time of 26:08.8 to earn all-conference honors for the second year in a row. He was was the top finisher for the Mount, helping lead the team to a third-place finish.
The 2005 NEC Freshman of the Year went on to compete at NCAA regionals two weeks later where he finished 71st.
