ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team was topped 6-1 by Sacred Heart to begin Northeast Conference (NEC) play. The Pioneers took the first and second flights of doubles competition to earn the one point advantage from doubles competition. Emma Blake and Megan Gamble won the number three flight by defeating Adrianne Alfonso and Laura Crivei 6-2 for the Mount's lone doubles flight win. 

Sophomore, Hannah Davis, recorded the only singles flight victory for the Mountaineers topping Olivia Podsiebierski 6-3, 6-2 in the second flight of singles competition. Sacred Heart won the number one, three, four, five, and six flights to secure the match victory. Mount St. Mary's falls to 2-10 on the year with a 0-1 mark in NEC play and Sacred Heart moves to 5-9 with a 1-0 mark in NEC play.
