ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount returns to action for their opening match of the spring at Towson on Saturday, January 27 at 8 p.m. in Towson, Md. The Mountaineers competed in four invitationals in the fall, the Bucknell, the Towson, the Mount, and the Loyola. The Loyola invitational was a 'Points of the Compass' format, with each team consisting of two players and each round consisting of a doubles match and two singles matches, with the winner of the best-of-three advances to the next round. Sophomore, Alexa Quintanilla and freshman, Megan Gamble took home sixth place after being defeated by Snyder and Lesnick from Lafayette. The Lafayette duo topped Quintanilla and Gamble 6-1, Lesnick beat Gamble 6-1, 6-3, but Quintanilla defeated Snyder 6-1, 6-4. Sophomore, Hannah Davis and Senior, Sruthi Kamprath blanked Lafayette's Block and Hill 3-0 for eleventh place. The Mount duo topped the Lafayette duo 6-2 in doubles competition, Davis topped Block 6-1, 6-1, and Kamprath defeated Hill 6-1, 6-4.

Quintanilla qualified for the ITA Regional Tournament after posting a 12-1 singles record for the fall. After winning the first match and advancing to the round of 32, Quintanilla came up just short and was unable to progress any further in the tournament.
