Day Three of the ITA Atlantic Regional Tournament Comes To A Close

Blacksburg, Va. (October 15, 2017) - The third day of the ITA Atlantic Regional tournament came to a close Sunday night at Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.

Mount St. Mary's Alexa Quintanilla was edged 6-2, 6-3 by William and Mary's Clara Tanielian during the round of 32 in singles competition. Tanielian advanced to the quarterfinals later in the day.

In an extra match during the day, freshman Megan Gamble defeated Virginia Tech's Dori Mesmer 6-4, 6-3 in friendly singles action.

The tournament will continue tomorrow, Monday, October 16 with the semifinals of doubles, the quarterfinals of singles, and the doubles finals.

The Mountaineers return home to Emmitsburg for a match against Sacred Heart on Saturday, March 24.
