Loyola, Md. (October 1, 2017) - The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team wrapped up the final day of the Loyola Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
Alexa Quintanilla and Megan Gamble took home sixth place after being defeated by Snyder and Lesnick from Lafayette. The Lafayette duo topped Quintanilla and Gamble 6-1, Lesnick beat Gamble 6-1, 6-3, but Quintanilla defeated Snyder 6-1, 6-4.
Hannah Davis and Sruthi Kamprath blanked Lafayette's Block and Hill 3-0 for eleventh place. The Mount duo topped the Lafayette duo 6-2 in doubles competition, Davis topped Block 6-1, 6-1, and Kamprath defeated Hill 6-1, 6-4.
Loyola's Eberle and Clark edged Emma Blake and Megan Smith 2-1, Blake and Smith took home fourteenth place after the loss. The Greyhounds duo defeated Blake and Smith 6-3 for the doubles point, Clark squeaked by Blake 6-2, 6-3, but Smith topped Eberle 6-4, 6-0.
Sam Barbato and Cassandra Powell blanked Wilson and Mathis from Lafayette 3-0 for fifteenth place. The Mountaineer duo edged Wilson and Mathis 6-4 for the doubles decision, Powell won by default, and Barbato defeated Wilson 6-0, 6-0.
