The Mount St. Mary's University men's and women's swimming & diving teams close out the regular season with a meet at Loyola on Saturday (Feb. 3) at 1 p.m. at Mangione Pool.
- On the women's side, the Mountaineers opened the year at 6-0 in dual meets for the first time in program history before suffering their first defeat last time out at La Salle. In the meet at La Salle, Bridget Vaughan placed first in the 500 free (5:32.59), and the relay squad of Maddie McGraw, Mary Lombardi, Colette Robinson and Maggie deTar posted the top time in the 200 free relay (1:44.04) for the Mount's pair of victories.
- The men's team, in just its second year of existence, has posted three dual meet wins on the year over VMI, Monmouth and St. Francis Brooklyn. Last time out, the Mountaineers fell at La Salle despite first-place showings from Roland Edge in the 100 free (55.57), and John Wilson in the 200 breast (2:15.09).
- The men's team will head to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships spanning February 14-17 at the Gabrielson Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. Click here to visit the championship headquarters.
