Lancaster, Pa. (November 19, 2017) – The Mount St. Mary's University women's swimming & diving team wrapped up the final day of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Sunday night in third place.
Delaware won the invite with 1887 team points, while Washington & Lee (1301 pts) and the Mount (777) rounded out the top-three out of 13 teams.
Maddie McGraw and Mary Lombardi posted the top individual finishes for the Mount on Sunday night. McGraw clocked in at 2:06.44 in the 200 back to take fourth place, finishing just shy of the program record (2:06.37) set in 2012. Lombardi also registered a fourth-place finish in the 500 free (5:09.13), and Maggie deTar took eighth place (5:15.70) in the event.
In the 100 breast, the Mountaineers had a pair of top-10 finishes, led by Lauren Gullickson's eighth-place showing in 1:08.89. Alyssa Felos won the 'B' final with a time of 1:07.46, taking ninth place overall in the event.
Juliet Whitman posted the Mount's top time of the night in the 200 fly, clocking in at 2:13.09 to earn eighth place.
McGraw, deTar, Whitman and Lombardi closed out the invite with an eighth-place finish in the 400 free relay, touching the wall in 3:39.14.
The Mount wraps up fall semester competition at the Loyola Invitational spanning December 3-4.
