The Mountaineers headed south this past week for a pair of games at Presbyterian and Longwood, and split the two tilts to move to 3-2 overall. The Mount opened with a 16-0 shutout victory at Presbyterian on Wednesday behind multi-goal efforts from six different players. Goalie Jillian Petito made eight saves in the contest to lead the Mount to its third shutout in program history.
On Saturday against the Lancers, the Mount nearly erased a four-goal deficit in the second half, but the comeback attempt fell just short as Longwood held on for an 11-10 victory. Alayna Pagnotta led the Mount with four points (1g, 3a), while Beanie Colson, Taylor Carhart, Emily Davis and Jannel Daufenbach netted two goals apiece.
Attackers Carly Miller (11g, 7) and Taylor Carhart (12g, 2a) have led the Mount's offense thus far, while Beanie Colson ranks third on the team in points (12) and leads in draw controls (30). In five starts in net, Petito has posted a .525 save percentage and allowed just 7.60 goals per game.

The Mountain Hawks sit at 3-3 on the year, with their three victories coming against St. Bonaventure (18-5), Columbia (13-12), and VCU (16-10). Lehigh is averaging 13.83 goals per contest, led by Courtney Henig (13g, 17a) and Sondra Dickey (18g, 5a). Samantha Sagi has started all six games in goal for the Mountain Hawks, registering a .431 save percentage and 11.88 goals against average.
SCOUTING FRESNO STATE
As of Thursday, Fresno State owns a 3-2 mark on the year, with victories over La Salle (8-6), Mercer (15-11) and St. Bonaventure (19-7). The Bulldogs play at NEC opponent Sacred Heart on Saturday before heading to the Mount on Monday. Sarah Bloise (14g, 8a) and Tiffiny Wallace (13g, 2a) are the team's top-two scorers through the opening five games. Goalie Laurel Maunder owns a .494 save percentage and 10.33 goals against average in five starts.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Mount St. Mary's is set for the 10th all-time meeting against Lehigh with the Mountain Hawks holding a 7-2 advantage in the series. Lehigh has won each of the last six matchups, with the most recent meeting resulting in a 12-3 Lehigh victory in 2016.
Mount St. Mary's and Fresno State will meet for the first time in series history on Monday, as the Bulldogs make their way east for a three-game road swing.
