Mount Women's Golf Continues Spring with Hoya Invitational

COMPETITION: Hoya Invitational hosted by Georgetown University 
WHERE: The Members Club at Four Streams, Beallsville, Md.
WHEN: April 8-9, 2013 

TEEING OFF: The Mount will head to Beallsville, Md. to compete in the Hoya Invitational at The Members Club at Four Streams. The two-round event will take place Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9. Golfers will be looking to navigate through the par-72 course. 

THE COMPETITION: Back from last year's field are St. John's and Nova Southeastern, which tied for second in the field of 11. Also making the return trip are Penn, Yale, Seton Hall and the host Georgetown.  

LAST TIME OUT: The Mount dropped a dual to Navy at the Naval Academy Golf Course on March 23. Amanda Reach carded an 85 to lead the Mount, which finished with a team total of 361 strokes. Sara Fuss had the Mount's second-best score of the round with 90 strokes. 

LOW 80s:  Through two events so far this spring, Kelsey Hayward put together the Mount's best performance by shooting an 80 during the second round of the C&F Bank Invitational on March 18. Amanda Reach also has two rounds in the low 80s with back-to-back scores of 82 at the C&F Bank Invitational.  

NEC CHAMPIONSHIPS: The 2013 Northeast Conference Championships are set for April 26-28 at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. 

UP NEXT: The Mount will host the Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational April 15-16 at the Quail Valley Golf Course in Littlestown, Pa. The event will be the final tuneup before the NEC Championships at the end of the month.
