MILFORD, Conn. - Marisol Doglioli (Aosta, Italy/Clearwater Central Catholic [Fla.]) finished 25th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to an eighth-place standing at the Sacred Heart Fall Invitational on Monday.
Doglioli posted an 88 in the first round and an 85 in the second round to card a 173 in the tournament to place 25th, 25 strokes behind the medalist.
Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) (26th place, 174), Amanda Reach (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) (37th place, 181), Sara Fuss (Newtown Square, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) (44th place, 193) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (49th place, 198) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.
Penn won the two-day event with a score of 630, 17 strokes ahead of Brown (647) while Boston University (654), LIU Brooklyn (669) and Hartford (672) rounded out the Top-5 teams in the field. The Mount posted a 364 in the first round and a 354 in the second round to card a 718 in the two rounds and finished in eighth place.
This event concluded the fall slate for the Mountaineers.
