Women's Golf Sits Ninth After First Round Of Sacred Heart Fall Invitational

MILFORD, Conn. - Marisol Doglioli (Aosta, Italy/Clearwater Central Catholic [Fla.]) and Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) finished tied for the 30th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a ninth-place standing after the first round of the Sacred Heart Fall Invitational on Sunday.

Doglioli and Hayward both carded an 88 in the opening round to finish in 30 place, 12 strokes behind the current leader.

Amanda Reach (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) (38th place, 92), Sara Fuss (Newtown Square, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) (44th place, 96) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (49th place, 104) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.

Penn leads the two-day invitational with a score of 316, eight strokes ahead of Brown while Boston University (331), LIU Brooklyn (332) and Hartford (337) rounded out the Top-5 teams. The Mount posted a 364 in the first round to finish in ninth place. 

Mount St. Mary's concludes the fall slate in the final round of the Sacred Heart Fall Invitational on Monday.
