EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Marisol Doglioli (Aosta, Italy/Clearwater Central Catholic [Fla.]) finished 12th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a ninth-place standing on Saturday.
Doglioli posted an 82 in the first round and a 76 in the second round to finish in 12th place and a two-round score of 158, seven strokes behind the medalist. The 76 in the second round is the fourth-best single round in program history and the 158 over the two days is the fifth-best two-round score in team history. Doglioli has posted four of her first six collegiate rounds in the 70s and owns the second and fourth-best single round scores in team history and the third, fourth and fifth marks for two rounds in program history.
Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) (33rd place, 170), Amanda Reach (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) (38th place, 174), Sara Fuss (Newtown Square, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) (46th place, 184) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (47th place, 186) also participated for the Mount in the event.
Boston University won the two-day event with a score of 631, two strokes ahead of Hartford (633) while Sacred Heart (637), Penn (638) and Siena (642) rounded out the Top-5 teams. Mount St. Mary's posted a 348 in the first round and a 338 in the second round for a two-round score of 686 to finish in ninth place.
The Mount returns to action at the Rutgers Invitational on Friday.
