Women's Golf Places 11th At Tribe Invitational

MONTPELIER, Va. - Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) finished 38th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to an 11th-place standing at the Tribe Invitational on Sunday.

Hall, the current Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week, posted a 77 in the first round and an 88 in the final round to record a 165 in the two-day event and finish in 38th place, 19 strokes behind the medalist.

Autumn Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) (39th place, 168), Sarah Roe (Floral Park, Md./Floral Park Memorial) (50st place, 174), Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (50th place, 174) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (56th place, 185) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.

Western Carolina won the two-day competition with a score of 598, one stroke ahead of Morehead State (599) while Wofford (614), William & Mary (617) and Old Dominion (625) rounded out the Top-5 teams. The Mount finished the first round with its sixth-best total in program history (332) before posting a 350 in the final round to record a 682 for the tournament and finish in 11th place.

The Tribe Invitational concluded the women's golf fall slate.
