In the opening matchup between the two teams on January 19 in Staten Island, Wagner scored a season-high in points en route to a 92-76 win. Mount St. Mary's, which trailed by as many as 33 points in the second half, cut the deficit to just eight in the final quarter, but the big comeback effort ultimately fell short. Jatarrikah Settle recorded her second career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists and three steals. Michaela Harrison registered four three-pointers as part of her team-high 16 points.
>>> Settle scored a career-high 21 points as Mount St. Mary's handed league-leading Robert Morris its first Northeast Conference (NEC) loss of the season in Saturday afternoon's action at Knott Arena. Settle scored 10 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter of play. The sophomore went 6-of-12 from the field in the contest, and also added six rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Bridget Birkhead chipped in 14 points, going 4-of-7 from long range, and Michaela Harrison added 13 points and six boards.
>>> Settle's 21-point performance on Saturday was the 15th time this season a Mount player has recorded 20-plus points. Juliette Lawless leads the squad in the category with nine such games, while Michaela Harrison has three.
>>> The win over Robert Morris put Maria Marchesano at 99 victories in her seven-year head coaching career, as she sits just one shy of the milestone. Marchesano recorded 27 wins in two seasons at Urbana University, 52 victories in three seasons at Walsh University, and currently has 20 at the Mount.
>>> The Mountaineers own a 7-3 record on their home court this season, as they're averaging 74.7 points per game at Knott Arena while shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from beyond the arc.
>>> Michaela Harrison now has 64 threes on the year, which is the second-most by a freshman in program history and sixth-most overall. Daly Sullivan set the Mount freshman record with 75 threes last season. Myriam Baccouche holds the overall program record with 79 threes made during the 2003-04 campaign.
