Somerset, N.J. (December 11, 2017) – Mount St. Mary's sophomore guard Ashlee White has been named the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
White dropped a career-high 36 points on Saturday to lead the Mount to an 82-78 victory over Rider at Knott Arena. The sophomore went 9-of-17 from the floor, 5-of-8 from three-point range and 13-for-15 from the line for her 36 points, which is the most in a single game among NEC players this season, and is tied for the third-most points in a game for a Mount player since the program moved to Division I prior to the 1988-89 season. White scored 26 of her 36 points in the second half, including 16 in the final quarter. The 36-point performance from White was the most by a Mountaineer since Myriam Baccouche also scored 36 against Radford back in 2003. White also added another double-figure scoring game earlier in the week at 15th-ranked Maryland, registering 13 points in the contest.
White and the Mountaineers are back in action this Sunday (Dec. 17) as they host Gardner-Webb at 1 p.m.
