EMMITSBURG, Md. – Bucknell defeated Mount St. Mary's 55-43 in non-conference women's basketball action on Wednesday.

With Mount St. Mary's clinging to a 7-6 lead with 15:38 left, Bucknell used an 18-0 spurt to take a 24-7 advantage. The Bison received points from five different players in the run to take a 17-point advantage.
Trailing by 17 points, the Mount closed the half on a 13-6 run to trim the margin to 30-20 going into the locker room. Mount St. Mary's cut the margin to eight points before Romine scored in the lane with 10 seconds left in the half to restore the double-digit margin. Jenn Carney (Drexel Hills, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) powered this spurt with five points.
Mount St. Mary's then opened the second half on a 10-2 run to make it a two-point game with 14:51 remaining. Henderson started the spurt with a jumper at 18:57 before Felicia Mgbada answered with a layup at 17:37. The Mount then scored eight unanswered points thanks to a jumper by Lonergan (17:05), back-to-back layups by Kayla Grossett (Toronto, Ontario/David and Mary Thompson C.I.) (16:28 and 15:40) and a layup by Henderson (14:51) to make the score 32-30. Dotson then started a 15-4 run and the Mount could get no closer the rest of the way.
