EMMITSBURG, Md. – The Mount St. Mary's University women's basketball team will be holding its Second Annual Daddy/Daughter Date Night during its home contest against UMES on Dec. 5. Game time is 7 p.m.
With the purchase of the daddy ticket for $5, all daughters (18 and under) will be admitted to the game for free. At halftime the participants in Daddy/Daughter Date Night will enjoy gourmet desserts, coffee, tea and juice courtesy of The Carriage House Restaurant. Mount St. Mary's University also announces a couple of changes to its schedule.
The Mount women's basketball game at home against Navy on Dec. 8 will move its start time back an hour to 2 p.m. The contest against the Midshipmen will also be High School Team Day. All teams including players and coaches will be admitted to the game for free by submitting a roster in advance. The teams will then have a chance to meet the Mount women's basketball players and coaches after the game. In addition, the Mount men's and women's basketball games, originally scheduled for Jan. 12 at the Wellness Center against LIU Brooklyn, have been moved to the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Game times for both contests are to be determined. The women's basketball game is slated to be the first part of the doubleheader and will be the first women's basketball contest in the venue that is the home of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets.
