Mount Track Closes Out Competition at Penn Relays; Competes at Saint Francis Red Flash Open

April 29, 2017—The Mount St. Mary's track and field teams rounded out competition at the Penn Relays while also participating in the Saint Francis Red Flash Open on Saturday. 

Chase Boyle finished 10th in the hammer throw (54.93m, 180' 2") with Brenden Chavis 12th (54.72m, 179' 6") at the Penn Relays today.  Also for the Mount on Saturday, Brian Sagendorf finished 22nd in the javelin with a toss of 56.23m (184' 5").

At the Saint Francis Red Flash Open, Colin Waitzman finished first in the pole vault (4.30m), Nick Fransham won the 3,000m run (8:46.76), Jameela Buchanan won the 200m dash and Todd Sampson the 110m hurdles to pace the Mount track teams.

The Mount is back in action on May 6 and 7 when they host the 2017 Northeast Conference Championships at Morgan Track on campus.
